time for mac Donald to take over behind the bench. outshot 19-0 in the third period yesterday, outshot 36-12 today,if the coach cannot get this team to put in a good effort,it's time to make a change before there is nobody in the seats.

This team is much better than a last place team. We need a replacement European for Mily, sit one game ,play one game,go get a tough free agent, this is Bathurst, give the fans a little excitement, we need a better effort on the road, and not let our players be run at home.We understand that this is a rebuild, but the last eight years has been a rebuild.

Kerr gets 2 game suspension for the check in Boisbriand. I call BS. I rewatched it twice after it happened. The referee was 6 ft away and assessed a minor penalty. The player was not injured. The player was 8 ft from the boards and turned away (to the boards)from the clean contact putting himself in jeopardy. It was the FIRST penalty Kerr has received this season. 2 games - you are kidding right? Armada sends in the tape and politics take over. I hope there is an appeal by the Titan. What do you guys think, did you watch it again?

League has been cracking down on dangerous plays the last couple years......8 feet from the boards, facing the boards is a dangerous place to hit anybody.

Thanks Lefty. Porkchop, just wondering what you think of the game tonight. I did not see you there, again, but am sure you looked at tonights info. You made fun of Grundy and his penalties,, but sometimes when you do not have a competive team you need a player who gives the fans a little something to cheer about. We certainly do not have it this year. The seats are a little more empty every game.

I made fun of Grundy because of lack of skill, not all because of penalties....he was all hyped up when he came here, top fighter, better skill then he showed previous because he just didn't get the chance, etc, etc....then couldn't stay on the top 6 D last year, and was demoted to spot duty as a 4th line forward by the end of the season....I just think that those spots would be better served by someone needing icetime that might be around the next season. ............and you are right....the fans need something to cheer about, not another goal against because of a dumb slashing penalty behind the play.

SaltPork your at it again. You are double talking out of the the side of your crooked mouth again friend and I'm here to put you back in check. Grundy had no talent? Clearly not a top 6 D man? Hmm that's debatable. He was relegated to 4th line spot duty as a forward of all things because he would not conform to a clueless coach that was a mistake this team had once before. He was a leader on that team and when the chips were down and he was given a chance he played clean and contributed. He was a threatening stay at home D man and anything else than that is simply an untruth.
As for your hyped as a top fighter comment he was without a doubt one of the toughest guys in the league and without question the toughest guy at any Titan team BBQ and he answered the bell in all instances.
Someone got it right on this forum when they said in MOST instances playing in bathurst is a carrer ender. It's sad because it has wonderful people that deserve a good team. I'm not sure what the real issue is but I can tell you coaching is a part of it. You cannot IMO capitulate season after season and call it a rebuild. You have these players but for a very short period of time so while you rebuild, teams still need to be competitive to attract the right prices of the puzzle. Teams need leaders and balance on the ice so young players can develop. Just giving these young men more ice does not work. You can say what you want about Lukes skill i care less and less but he was a leader. Of ALL the OA that we had dragging their asses around the ice game after game he was not one of them he gave this team all he had every shift. Ask Dumalong who he respected and looked up too or ask your young players how they felt just knowing that Grundy was on the ice or on the bench and who had there back. No one ran our players with him there and the same went for Rimouski, when he arrive things changed. Hell the headline in the Rimouski paper even said that very thing " something has changed with the arrival of Grundy" Anyways I'm not sure why I keep caring WTF happens to the titan but for some reason I do. I watch the games still I read the forums occasionally and its the same old men debating the remains of the day and occasionally some of them make some sense to me. I really loved the fans and how they made Luke feel like a Titan.
Yup Pork Sauce will attempt to reconfigure my statement as a bias cuz he's my kid and I'm good with that but fuck man get your story straight even you said the later half of last season was unfair to Luke and that he was better than a fourth line spot duty forward and was wasted there. If I had the energy to care I'd go look it up
I no longer have a dog in this fight but my hope is that the Titan make some big changes. You can debate this till the proverbial cows come home but the fans don't lie and they are not there supporting this team. I hope that changes and I hope it's soon. It does not require a rebuild it requires a hard restart and I think the great people of Bathurst deserve that. Hell maybe evn PC will start attending games again!

Grundy was one of my favourite players last year and I told him that at out fan appreciation night last season...At least he played with heart and we could use some of that this year..The only one showing some heart this year is Dumulong...Wish Grundy was still here ...

Marty we do have the same predicament with Dumulong this season who has been told to remain quiet many times instead of retaliating or acting as a policeman.
Somehow the coaches do not like them getting too many penalties and I do understand why they would like a middle ground instead of a punishing defenseman.
I do prefer the game of the past, but refs and the Q have chosen otherwise and anybody crossing that line does hurt his team more than helping it.

I think the team will be gone in a couple of year in any case. People rather stay at home and critize the team, management the coach, instead of getting out and supporting the team...I know that most nights it is very hard to sit there and watch them playing poorly, but I think the team is going to get better and I will not give up on them..I've been there since the beginning and I will not quit now !!!

It does not require a rebuild it requires a hard restart and I think the great people of Bathurst deserve that. Hell maybe evn PC will start attending games again! I probably did say Grundy was being wasted on the 4th line.....I think that any team that brings a veteran dman in to help a young defense and don't use him at his position is wasting what talent he does have. Grundy did a good job when he stuck to playing, but man the penalties a lot of times just didn't make sense...you could see before they happened that one was coming..you can only hack a guy so many times in the corner before you get called for it. We had a guy named Sean Girard that brought the same and they got rid of him. Maybe it was the clueless coach that used Grundy in the wrong situation but obviously that coach thought he was best used there. I really liked Grundy as a person....watched him with the kids around the rink, always smiling, always happy and everyone loved him. There were times on the ice though, when I thought a fight was the last thing that was needed....with the new rule of staged fighting, there were times when everyone could see he was gonna be booted from the game, and once that happened the police affect was gone.....he was a decent fighter and a willing one though, I'll give him that and wish him nothing but well in the future. Also as far as coaching goes, it's easy to blame things on the coach when things are not going right.....however the coach can only do so much with what he has to work with...we've had 5 coaches in about the last 5 seasons if I got it right....none of them could do any better than the last, because the talent they were given wasn't good enough to get the results people wanted. You have to look a little deeper than the coaches to figure out the problem with this team....maybe have a look at the guys in the higher positions than the coach. Most fans can tell you before the season starts what the standings will look like at the end of the year, with pretty good accuracy....I'm not sure why the GM can't ever seem to figure that out. Bringing in average or unhappy vets every year(this year again) to try and win with a bad team will never work. Our 20 year olds this year were 3rd liners their whole careers, and are expected to suddenly be 1st liners now...that will never happen, and is not the coaches fault. Who knows.....if they can ever get it figured out, maybe PC will get back to the games. I've spent a lot of cash over the years just to be frustrated....I guess I just changed priorities...having a lot of fun with the kids and playing a lot of music that I was neglecting, and really don't miss the rink at all....hope that changes in the future.
