Pick up 17 year old Samuel Lariviere from Chicoutimi for 10 round pick in 2016. He was currently playing for the Montreat East Rangers. He was born in Finland.
Our 4th trade in the past 3 weeks!

It is ironic that you mention that! These were all very minor trades involving minor leaguers who have absolutely no bearing on the roster.. Similarly, the Titan have been calling up guys like Marc-Andre Gauvreau/Yan Plourde/Felix Boivin/Francis Thibault/Matthew Cusson to simply evaluate where these ones are in their development. I would call this good Management at making an inventory up to date of the personnel they have and of adding depth where they are a little short instead of getting even close to start criticizing. That will come soon enough no doubt....

Where did I criticize? All I did was state a fact! I am a little touchy when the trade period comes....anything the team GM does is highly criticized....damn if he does, damn if he doesn't. There are some constraints in this type of market non existent for bigger markets. I personally hope that the Management stands pat with the youth and dumps some 19/20 YOs for picks and accepts to go through a total rebuild. However the financial situation is not easy.

I believe that most of the knowledgeable posters on this site would agree with that stance - I've been wishing that they would do that for years now i.e. do a true rebuild...

What sucks is with all the years the team wasted trying to be competitive, they could have gone through 2 complete true rebuilds and had 2 great chances at being a contender. The way things have gone has just wasted years of good hockey.

The Titan line-up for Saint John game had balance at forward - 2 OAs, 2 19s, 3 18s, 2 17s, 2 16s. That would be how you build for consistency. But now they have 6 or 7 18 yr old forwards, 5 of them smaller players. Gotta make some decisions. Are the 2 19 yr forwards back as OAs, which 18s back as 19s. Have to have room for Popov and Viel, who'll both have break out yrs next year, as well as Maher and Plourde as 17s. I'm sure the GM would have it figured and trying now to get returns in trades. Hoping to see more of #2 and #4 after Xmas. With the Goals F/GA differential where it is, I don't know. In the DZ coverage, the 19 yr olds always look so surprised at everything, but at least the F down low has been a lot better. Don't know where Brisebois is lately, but that 17 has had more ice and more off-ice responsibility as captain than has been good for his development and confidence, IMO that is. I'm cheering for the GM, as he's working his butt off, doing his best.

Try to get rid of Brennan as he is the worst goalie in the QMJHL.

Try to get rid of Brennan as he is the worst goalie in the QMJHL. Brennan is far from the worst goalie in the Q......put him on a good team and you would see that....he has just had the bad luck of playing in behind the Bathurst team for his entire career.
