Cats are winners of 1 in their 6 games. I figure the self destruction continues today. Despite this being an important game with respect to final positioning, I doubt we see any of the injured guys back.
Although having those guys back could go a long way in us having any chance of winning.
GO CATS GO!

GO CATS GO! you guys are similar to Cape Breton now....we will start our 3rd string goalie, along with a couple other callups from Jr. A, and win 7-5.

Jaskin looks like he recovered from his injury just fine as weird as it may sound, I was expecting more from him.....his goal was a weird goalmouth scrum with nothing fancy.....and he had a couple passes on the powerplay......as far as overall play, I expected him to be a lot more dominant on the boards, more skilled skating end to end, etc......kind of disappointing as I was watching for him, as soon as I saw him on the ice.....IMO, Veilleux was a much better player tonight.

May have disappointed you but he did get 4 points.. Not bad , especially in his first game back from injury.

Not bad , especially in his first game back from injury. as I said, his goal wasn't a pretty one.....2 passes were on the pp from one side of the ice to the other, that any 4th liner could have done...the other 59 minutes and 52 seconds, I just expected more from him........everytime he touched the puck I got a little nervous, as I thought it was gonna end up in the back of the net....then he would lose it to someone like Meredith, and it was like, "that's it??".........lol.....you had to be there. He wasn't the dominant bull on the boards that I've seen before....could be scared to get injured again maybe, or just saving it for the playoffs.

Probably a combination of a few factors...having just returned to game action following an injury, not wanting to get hurt again before playoffs etc. The thing with Jaskin is that he doesn't generally dazzle you with end to end rushes, but he plays such a strong powerful game. He anticipates and sees the ice so well. He's been the highlight of the season for me without a doubt. Just glad to see him back. He adds loads of confidence to this team IMO. We'll have our hands full with Victo in round 1. It's a shame we've played so shitty down the stretch...hopefully things get a whole lot better for us in the playoffs.

I agree, as I've seen him dominate the boards, etc, before. Very nice player....last night I thought Veilleux was your best guy in that type of game. I can't see you taking more than 5 games to roll over Victo.....Moncton will pick it up when it matters.

I'm trying not to set my hopes too high. I'll predict it takes 6 games...
