www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/2013/03/21/sean_day_15_granted_exceptional_status_by_ohl_and_will_enter_draft.htmlseems like they are overly using this, or have more exceptional players than anyone else does......this is 3 seasons in a row they've done this.......Day may prove to be a top guy, but 35 points in 63 games with his current team, doesn't seem overly impressive, even for a dman. the last exceptional they let in, Connor McDavid, had a solid rookie season, with 66 points in 63 games including 25 goals. Not sure why we don't see this in the other leagues a bit.....I'm sure the MacKinnon's, Huberdeau's, etc, would make it in on hype alone. another year of development with a major jr team, IMO, would only make them a better pro player quicker.
