lol......here we go again. look at his number after tonight Awesome game for sure!! Will be interesting to see how he finishes the year, and more importantly next season and the year after. The huge difference in his numbers from Baie Comeau to Bathurst so far could simply be the difference in the divisions. Probably makes a difference having teams like Quebec/Rimouski, etc, shooting at you instead of Saint John, Charlottetown. I hope he keeps it up.

I don't see a "huge" difference from his numbers in BC to his numbers here.
At 0.895 in BC, he was still quite an upgrade on Brennan/Lagace.

He is looking very promising so far......but you still need to get back to me after 20 games, not when he is 1-4. I remember just a few weeks ago we were having this same conversation about another Titan goalie. The good thing about PIckard is he is on 16 so has plenty of time left in the league to expand on his skill set.

He is still just as good or better than what Brennan was giving the team. Two rookies competing for the top job makes for a better competition and better performances. IMO it is only a matter of weeks before Pickard gets the top job. However I also like what I see of Vautour.

I think they should look for the future.......which one is going to be here when they are contending for a championship? I'm guessing either 2 or 3 years down the road, the team should be able to pretty much do that.....Vautour won't be here then and Pickard won't want to sit behind someone for long....give him the starting job now and let him gain the experience.

Reilly Pickard named third star of the week. Even the Q league takes a small sample of games and gives players credit for a job well done

Pickard is one of the best moves the Titan have made in a long time. If nothing else, he will be great trade material down the road ?

Right now the team is playing through the motions, and everybody seems in a hurry to end the season.
Anyway that is the way they are playing.
I cannot blame them specially our OAs at this point of the season. However the fans still deserve to be entertained for the dollars they spend. The game in Rimouski yesterday was typical of a team who packed up its bags after the 3rd goal.

I would bet that none of the players feel like that.......they all want to win....the players are just either not that talented(19 and 20 year old 3rd liners), or too young(skilled 16 & 17 year olds) yet to be dominant with the talents they have.

I would think some vets are playing through the motions. One obvious example for Michel Germain was Andrew Ryan as even him(Rimouski commentator) noticed the foot dragging. He even added that it was more or less understandable in view of the team's present situation.
Simpson's loss was a huge loss as we lost a veteran who was giving 100% every night, that he was a big size centerman strong in the faceoff circle and responsible defensively. Without him this team lost a leader.

Nothing I've seen in any game this year has changed my opinion on him. He's just a 3rd liner in a spot he isn't skilled enough to handle.
