Mooseheads roll into SJ tonight.
Should be a win, but Auger is a great Q goalie and can easily steal this game away.
Drouin is riding the franchise-record points streak, and the team can set a new franchise record for wins in a season tonight!
Close game, 4-2 Halifax

Auger is a great goalie this season, but I don't think you'll see the rest of the team putting up much of a fight. I'd love to see an upset, but predicting one is a fool's errand. I'll say 6-2 Halifax, but only because I have a feeling 7-2 Halifax has already been predicted somewhere...

The issue I see is that the Moose have the tendency (not often, but sometimes) to not get up for these kinds of games. That, combined with Auger, could make it closer than people would think.

The Moose staff are not going to know where to put MacKinnon in the lineup when he is back.........About 12 minutes into the game tonight and Drouin has another 2 points already.....he is taking over this team.

Yeah so much for my Auger theory tonight.
And yes, this really is Drouin's team, and has been most of the season. I wonder what MacKinnon really thinks of this, if he's jealous that his throne has been sort of taken away.
He really hasn't risen to the explosiveness of Drouin
4-0 Moose so far

Kind of hoping MacKinnon gets motivated, but at the same time doesn't try to do too much on his own. Still has to use Drouin and Frk to create room for himself.
Not much to say about this one. 8-1 Moose after 2.

Drouin with 4 points tonight puts him into 3rd in the scoring race, and only 4 points back of Trainor for top spot.........friggin impressive for the kid.....Jaskin picked a bad time to miss 3 games, as that might be what loses the scoring race for him.

The only part of the game I got to hear was the 3rd, which made me want to chop my ears off

Agreed....since the WJHC tournament and including the tournament Drouin has taken off and stands out more than MacKinnon. Both amazing players, but Drouin in my opinion has leaped ahead of MacKinnon. The kid is really something to watch! Halifax fans are spoiled at the present.....enjoy it while it lasts because these two won't be around very long.

Exactly, then comes the debate on when to trade them. I sure hope we do, the period from 09-11 was excruciating.

Right now there is more chance that MacKinnon is back next year, than Drouin.........trading might not really be an option for either of them though, as they could both stick.

Totally agree, I'm just wondering about the "if" that they do in fact come back. If one comes back + Eichel, maybe we could contend. If Eichel doesn't report and one of them sticks NHL, trade the other. We need returns to avoid a multi-year slump again.
