Is it just me, or should Garland be drawing more penalties? The fans boo every time he gets touched, and that means nothing, they're very one sided on their thoughts toward penalties. Obviously he's small and he seems to get pushed around a fair bit, and that comes with the territory when you're going to the corner and the net I guess. On a few different occasions, I've seen him get cross checked a few times and hit in the head, nothing severe, his head is at most guys' elbow level, but he hardly seems to draw penalties.

He is small and does get pushed around a bit but he is usually looking for a call to be made, hence the refs are paying close attention. Obvioulsly the home town crowd is biased when they boo. I think the officiating has been fair when it comes to him.

Could be the dirtiest hit, if it's delivered BY a Wildcat, it's cheering time, until there's a penalty, lol. Could also be the cleanest hit, as long as it's ON a Wildcat, it's bloody murder! I do agree that Garland seems to be looking for the call often, and a cross check/push/shove/hit on him from a bigger guy (not that's there's many smaller/his size lol) makes him look kind of like a ragdoll but it just seems to me that he DOES get hit in the head area sometimes and nothing happens.

No place for it, and there should be a penalty. Same as the scrums/pushing and shoving in front of the net when it seems they're happening after EVERY whistle. I understand clearing your crease, and protecting your teammates, but when nothing is happening, the play is over, there's no reason for it so skate to the bench and don't be a bunch of dicks.

As long as Garland keeps putting up the points, he can chirp all he wants and yes it's completely normal for home town fans to be a little less forgiving of penalties towards the home team but it pretty much happens everywhere. There are seemingly only a hanbful of fans who will agree that penalties are right and just when they are called....having said that, I don't believe the refs are always right. My sons' team was called for penalties about 7 times in a game today and the coach was called for a bench minor for chirping...along with a few parents. I on the other hand felt the ref called a very good game. My son was called for one and he deserved it....the coachs' kid was called for 2 infractions and both were clear and blatant, yet he starts chirping after the second one and gets called again. It all adds up to the emotions of a game and a lot of fans will always feel the referee is "wrong".

Garland did alright in the regular season, but was a disppearance show in the playoffs where tight checking prevails.
He will be one of the only offensive players on the Wildcats next season if Barbeshev happens to land in Victoiraville like the rumour tells.....
Rebuild will be there for the next 2-3 years....

Garland didn't really see much ice time in the play offs and even the most offensive Wildcat players were invisible come playoff time. Just one of those years where the other team shut us down. I also believe that the kids had zero confidence in their goaltender which led them to be more cautious which in turn led to more mistakes etc......clusterf__ck! to 100th degree. Garland is still quite young and is one of the more promising prospects...... and BTW a normal re-build is indeed around 2-3 years so not sure what your point is other than it appears as though you were trying to take a shot at the Cats. I realise that being in Bathurst you wouldn't know as every year appears to be a year that the Titan will contend.
